The Puls plant in the Moscow region has begun producing elevators capable of operating in seismic activity up to 9 points. The first to receive the novelty will be Crimea, the Caucasus and the Far East — regions with a high risk of earthquakes.
Investments in the project amounted to 60 million rubles. The elevators are equipped with an intelligent security system: at the first tremors, they automatically stop at the nearest floor and open the doors. Even in the event of a power outage, the system continues to operate thanks to a duplicated power supply.
The design is reinforced: guides with a frequent mounting pitch, durable emergency mechanisms and additional fixation of critical components are used. The project complies with international safety standards.
