Испытания беспилотников пройдут в Прибайкальском национальном парке

Access to a popular tourist route in the Irkutsk region will be limited for five days

Drone tests will start in the Pribaikalsky National Park in the Irkutsk region. Because of this, access to the tourist route will be limited for five days. This was reported in the press service of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Zapovednoe Pribaikalye".

Developers will test quadcopters, hexacopters and unmanned aircraft in the Baikal weather conditions. The purpose of the tests is to assess the effectiveness of these devices in protecting natural areas from fires and poaching, as well as to study their potential for scientific research.

The organizers ask tourists to understand the temporary restrictions. The developers emphasize that the introduction of new technologies in nature protection can significantly improve the situation. In case of successful tests, the experience of using drones will be extended to other specially protected natural areas of Russia.

The tourist route "Bolshoe Goloustnoe village - Podkamenye tract" with a length of 5 km runs along a dirt road and leads to the picturesque shore of Lake Baikal, popular among lovers of tent отдыха.
