The Yandex team has announced the launch of its «Yandex Lavka» delivery service in Sochi, which already offers more than 4,000 products, including ready-made food and household goods. Delivery is carried out in just 15 minutes from five darkstores. Plans include expansion to ten darkstores to cover the Adler, Sirius, and Krasnaya Polyana districts.
An important part of the assortment is local products: about 20% of the goods come from Sochi producers, such as «Sochi Meat Processing Plant» and «Sochi Bakery Plant», as well as from companies in the Krasnodar Territory.
With the launch of the service in the region, more than 600 new jobs will be created, including couriers, assemblers, and cooks. Couriers will receive electric bicycles with IoT modules. The press service emphasized that delivery drivers will monitor speed and comply with traffic rules.
It is worth recalling that «Yandex Lavka» began its operations in 2019 and already successfully operates in several major cities in Russia and abroad, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Almaty.
