LOMO JSC (part of the Kalashnikov concern) has completed a component of the experimental design work to create the latest 1PN146 and 1OP84 sights.
The products are designed to detect and track aerial targets and enable firing at them from man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) of air defense (AD).
The weight of the night vision device is no more than 1.55 kg. The operating temperature range is from -50 to +55°C. The time to transfer from the stowed position to readiness for operation is no more than 60 seconds.
The target detection range using both sights under specified conditions is at least 6 km for an RQ-7 Shadow-type unmanned aerial vehicle and an ALCM cruise missile, at least 9 km for AH-64 and UH-1 type helicopters, and at least 12 km for F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35, A-10A type aircraft. Currently, LOMO is working on preparing the products for mass production, starting in 2025.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the new Rodnik 3D radar was created for the military, but it is not able to detect small drones.
