Russians will be able to find the address of the nearest civil defense shelter through the "Gosuslugi" portal. This was announced by Sergei Starovoitov, Deputy Director of the Department of Civil Defense and Population Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
The system has already been successfully tested in the Kursk and Belgorod regions. Now, every Russian in these regions will be able to log into their personal account on "Gosuslugi", select a special tab, and find out which shelter they are assigned to. People will be able to quickly orient themselves in the event of an emergency and know where to go. It is planned to introduce a similar function for evacuation points, where citizens should arrive in the event of an evacuation announcement.
Currently, the regions are actively filling the system with the necessary information, and it is expected that the new function will become available throughout Russia by the end of this year. The innovation is aimed at improving the safety of citizens and improving public awareness in the event of possible emergencies.
