However, the organizers are confident that the public will be interested in this affordable analogue of the Land Rover Series and Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
The Gooding & Company auction house notes that the Lada Niva is an opportunity to purchase a piece of the rich history of the 1980s. And for a relatively modest amount, unlike cars like the 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Lungo Spider, sold at last year's auction for $14 million.
The exact price for the Niva has not yet been announced, but it is predicted that the starting price will be about $20,000.
