Ministry of Digital Development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and JSC "Gonet" to Cooperate in the Field of Drones

The agreement with the satellite operator will expand the region's capabilities to create the necessary communication infrastructure for UAS

JSC "Satellite System \"Gonet\"" (part of Roscosmos) and the Ministry of Digital Development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory have entered into a strategic partnership in the field of unmanned aviation. This cooperation is part of the national project "Unmanned Aviation Systems." The signing of the corresponding agreement was announced in the press service of "Gonet."

Nikolai Raspopin, the Minister of Digital Development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and Andrei Manoilo, the head of JSC "Satellite System \"Gonet\"", signed the document. The agreement is aimed at fulfilling the tasks related to the implementation of the national project "Unmanned Aviation Systems."

According to Raspopin, the Ministry of Digital Development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is actively working on the national project. The use of drones opens up great prospects for the region.

Manoilo emphasized that the Gonets satellite system sees great potential in working with drones.

We are constantly working on communication solutions to create an information environment in vast territories. The Krasnoyarsk Territory is the largest in Russia, and we expect that Gonets satellite solutions for UAS will contribute to the development of its digitalization, which increasingly includes space technologies.

It is noted that at the initial stage of cooperation, the Ministry of Digital Development of the region and the Roscosmos company will create an action plan that will be implemented within the boundaries of the region.

Earlier, the Ministry of Transport of Russia proposed creating a new class of airspace for drones — class H. It will operate at an altitude of up to 150 meters.
