KSM was built in 1973 with the help of the USSR. The plant became a symbol of cooperation between the two countries, as well as an important contribution by Russia to the industrialization of Pakistan. Currently, the plant is closed.

Khorev noted that it is too early to talk about the timing of the project and financial aspects. For further progress, it is necessary for specialized experts to provide the necessary calculations. This will allow for a more accurate assessment of the opportunities and resources for the restoration of the plant.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia helped India build the second frigate of Project 11356.
