Серая зона уходит в «тёмную»: сервисы с базами персональных данных меняют российскую «прописку»

Servers are moving to other countries due to tightening legislation

Russian services involved in data verification are facing the need to move abroad to continue their activities. The reason is the introduction of a new law that establishes criminal liability for the illegal collection and distribution of personal data. After that, many similar services, including chatbots, including legal ones, have moved to other countries.

Despite the restrictions introduced, the interest of Russians in such bots has not faded. According to the owner of one of them, users began to look for alternative ways to obtain information and often turn to the darknet. New ones are emerging in place of closed legal platforms, which are difficult to control, leading to an increase in data leaks.

The bot owner emphasized that the current situation only exacerbates the problem. "Black" services are appearing, where information becomes less protected, and control by law enforcement agencies is almost impossible.

Thus, new laws aimed at protecting personal data lead to unexpected consequences. Legal services are leaving, and illegal platforms are taking their place, which puts user security at risk.
