Russia is developing a new transport space system equipped with a nuclear power unit. It will allow delivering up to 10 tons of payload to Mars orbit. This was announced by the General Director of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov.

Russia plans to begin manned flights to Mars and the exploration of deep space for scientific research in the next 50 years. By 2030, a prototype of the nuclear tug "Zeus" will be created for the exploration of deep space. This is an exclusively Russian space project.
