Russia is developing a new space transport system equipped with a nuclear power unit. It will allow delivering up to 10 tons of payload to Mars orbit. This was announced by the General Director of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov.

Russia, in turn, is working on creating, including a transport system with a nuclear power unit, which will allow the delivery of about 10 tons of payload to near-Mars orbit.

Russia plans to begin manned flights to Mars and the exploration of deep space for scientific research in the next 50 years. By 2030, a prototype of the nuclear tug "Zeus" will be created for deep space exploration. This is an exclusively Russian space project.
