The Ministry of Transport of Russia has announced the expansion of the program for teaching schoolchildren the rules of safe behavior on transport. Special attention will be paid to the use of electric scooters and behavior on the railway.
The Ministry of Transport emphasized that the level of child injuries at railway facilities continues to grow. Therefore, as part of the "School of Safe Behavior" project, additional classes will be held in schools across the country with an emphasis on these topics.
The Ministry of Transport notes that the participation of transport workers in such programs has prevented many accidents. Now the training will be supplemented with modules dedicated to new types of transport, including personal mobility devices.
In April 2025, fines for driving electric scooters by minors were increased in Russia from 10 to 30 thousand rubles. A special procedure is in effect in Moscow: the fine for such a violation is 100 thousand rubles. Kicksharing services, including Whoosh and "МТС Юрент", have already implemented updated liability measures.
The expansion of the training program is designed to raise children's awareness of the risks and form a responsible attitude to the use of transport in the urban environment.
