The domestic "Silant" electric tractor will be shown to the public for the first time at the CTT Expo-2025 exhibition. This electric tractor was created on the basis of the serial model "KM Universal" produced by ChZSA LLC (which replaced the legendary Soviet tractor T-16 ("Shassik").
All foreign electrical components of the tractor have been replaced with Russian components.
The model is equipped with an electric transmission based on switched reluctance motors with converters that have unique characteristics that significantly distinguish them from other electric machines and contribute to increased reliability and durability of the device.
The electric drive systems of the "Silant" tractor were created and tested in Kaluga, and the installation was carried out at the Cheboksary Plant of Power Units. Lithium-ion batteries for powering the drive are produced in Yekaterinburg.
In 2025, an electric tractor with a domestic transmission will be transferred to controlled operation in the municipal enterprises of the city of Cheboksary.
The tractor can be charged both from a household power grid and through charging stations, which allows the model to be used in areas with insufficiently developed infrastructure for electric transport. In the near future, the level of localization of component production is planned to be increased to 90%. This will allow the Cheboksary Plant of Power Units to begin mass production of electric tractors.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the FT-741 tracked tractor was shown at the "Golden Niva 2025" exhibition.
