Domestic companies using foreign artificial intelligence systems may be required to inform customers about the use of such technologies. Senator Oleg Golov initiated the corresponding bill.
According to him, the goal of this initiative is to ensure citizens' right to informed consent and increase transparency in the processing of personal data. Golov emphasizes that many entrepreneurs express concern about possible data leaks through foreign AI services. The bill is aimed at reducing such risks.
The senator clarified that it is not about banning foreign technologies. Golov emphasizes the importance of informing users so that they can independently decide whether to entrust the processing of their data to foreign algorithms.
