Employees of the "Beeline.Analytics" service conducted a study and found that Russians significantly increased their use of social networks at the beginning of 2025. In the first four months of this year, user activity increased almost 1.5 times compared to the same period in 2024.
Mobile data traffic to social platforms increased by 44% year-on-year. "VKontakte" holds the leading position, accounting for almost 45% of the total traffic among all social networks. The platform's popularity among social network users is growing.
"Odnoklassniki" is in second place, providing 25% of mobile traffic. "Zen" occupies the third position with a share of 22%. Telegram, despite its popularity, is in fourth place with 7.5% of traffic, and TikTok closes the top five with 0.5%.
Interestingly, men and women use social networks in approximately equal proportions. Analysts believe that social networks are becoming a universal communication tool for all age groups.
Thus, there is a tendency to increase the time Russians spend on social networks. This may be due to the growing interest in online content. In today's realities, such changes in user behavior cannot fail to arouse interest among experts and marketers.
