The STAN holding (part of Rostec) has modernized the 2000VH portal five-axis milling machining center for enterprises in the aviation, engine-building and defense industries. This was reported by the press service of the state corporation.
The updated equipment is equipped with a domestic numerical control system, as well as key components — a pneumatic braking unit, a milling rotary head and a tool magazine. To improve ergonomics, the operator's workplace has been improved.
The equipment occupies an area of 50 m² and allows processing parts up to 2 m in diameter and weighing up to 5 tons without reinstallation.
STAN's unique milling rotary head of its own design can process parts in vertical, horizontal and intermediate positions. The high-tech portal center will replace foreign models on the market, is produced in series and has no analogues among domestic equipment.
Earlier www1.ru reported that work on the Baikal aircraft has reached a dead end: it will never see the light of day.
