Test pilot of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, Sergei Bogdan, admitted that after flying the latest fifth-generation Su-57 fighter, controlling the fourth-generation Su-27 combat aircraft is much more difficult.
Back then it seemed like pure fantasy. Then for a long time I didn't fly the Su-27. I was testing the Su-57. And after a few years, it so happened that I took off on the Su-27 again. Then I thought, how am I going to sit in this plane at all? It's like oak. And after the Su-57, it wasn't just irony. It feels like taking off on a heavy bomber. I think, well, how are you going to sit down? Well, you're a test pilot, why wouldn't you sit down?
According to him, the Su-27 was once considered the best fighter in the world and was the height of perfection, but after some time it "feels like oak." To convey the idea of the evolution of the Su-57, Bogdan compares it to the fact that the Su-35 generation "4++" replaced the Su-27 generation 4.
These aircraft are similar only in appearance. But unlike the 27th, the 35th's airframe is made using high-strength composite materials. It is lighter, its service life is longer, and its fuel supply is increased. The Su-35 has new powerful airborne radar equipment and an engine with a three-dimensional thrust vector. Hence its super-maneuverability.
The Su-27 aircraft is a Soviet and Russian supersonic heavy fighter equipped with AL-31F engines with afterburner chambers. It is designed to gain air superiority and deliver missile and bomb strikes against ground targets, including with the use of nuclear tactical weapons.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the full configuration of weapons and protection of the T-90M "Proryv" tank became known.
