The Lada Granta family of cars will be expanded with the launch of a new liftback modification called Active Cross with increased ground clearance and protective body kit.
The model is equipped with a modernized chassis. Ground clearance was increased from 180 mm (for a regular liftback) to 198 mm. Other features of the new product at AvtoVAZ include optimized body geometry with shortened overhangs and a smooth underbody without protruding elements, which should provide characteristics comparable to compact crossovers.
Lada Granta Active Cross will be equipped with 1.6-liter engines with a capacity of 90 and 106 hp and a five-speed manual transmission. The basic equipment will include two airbags, air conditioning, heated front seats, an audio system and other options.
Details about trim levels, prices and launch dates will be announced later.
