Footage of an unusual modification by the military has been published online. They installed a BMD-2 in the back of a KamAZ-4310 high-mobility three-axle vehicle.
For this purpose, the platform was reinforced with caterpillar tracks and additional armor. The developers provided for the possibility of quick boarding and disembarking of the gunner-operator. The "Frankenstein" also received protection in the front.
The created guntruck possessed high firepower thanks to its standard armament — the Konkurs-M anti-tank missile system, a 7.62-mm machine gun, and a 30-mm automatic cannon.
Russian military personnel are currently using a modernized version of the BMD-2M with the Bereg combat module and the ability to install more powerful and accurate weapons. A 30-mm grenade launcher was added to the 2A42 cannon and 7.62-mm machine gun for strikes against enemy manpower.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Admiral Golovko frigate, carrier of hypersonic "Zircons," has completed a long voyage.
