Specialists from the Belgorod State Technological University named after Shukhov (BSTU) have created innovative complexes for the phased processing of technogenic materials of organic and mineral origin.
The development allows transforming waste into finished products, including alternative fuels and components for industry, which helps to reduce the volume of waste disposal.
The technology is aimed at the rational use of secondary resources. Scientists have combined energy-saving methods with unique equipment capable of working with materials of different structures and chemical compositions.
Among the key applications is the processing of municipal solid waste (MSW) into compacted RDF fuel, as well as the conversion of polymer-containing waste into semi-finished products for the production of technical pipes.
Patented scientific solutions of BSTU have already been implemented in processes where minimizing energy consumption and maximizing the extraction of useful components from raw materials are required. For example, when crushing MSW, the system not only sorts waste, but also optimizes its further use, reducing the environmental burden.
