For the 80th anniversary of Victory, Russian Railways has prepared a special surprise — locomotives 3ТЭ28 and ЭП2К received unique festive "tunics." Specifically for the celebration, the 3ТЭ28-80 diesel locomotive in a new livery will make a transcontinental run from the factory to the Tynda depot.
The main event will be the large-scale "Victory Train" campaign. The historical rolling stock prepared for the campaign includes 29 steam locomotives of various series. They will travel on 20 special routes, passing through 15 railways of Russia.
Special attention was drawn to the 3ТЭ28 and ЭП2К locomotives, which received individual festive colors. One of them — the 3ТЭ28-80 diesel locomotive — will make a special journey across the country. It will be the first among the machines of its series to travel from the factory to the city of Tynda, Amur Region.
