The Russian diamond mining group ALROSA, the world's largest diamond producer by volume, intends to sell the largest diamond in Russian history.
We are talking about an exceptional gemstone called "New Sun" weighing over 100 carats. The diamond has a rare fancy Vivid Yellow color, which is extremely rare and highly valued in the international jewelry market.
The head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, confirmed plans to sell the stone at auction, but did not specify the exact date of the auction. According to him, the decision to sell such a unique specimen on an international platform reflects the company's strategy for the efficient use of the most valuable assets.
The creation of the "New Sun" involved a team of 15 specialists with more than 30 years of experience. The work on this diamond took more than 2 years.
