Россия готовит космическую смену МКС: первый модуль новой орбитальной станции полетит на орбиту в 2027 году

Head of Roscosmos: "May space continue to remain outside of politics, above politics — in the direct and figurative senses"

Roscosmos is preparing for a new stage in space exploration — the first module of the Russian Orbital Station (ROS) will be launched into orbit in 2027. This was announced by the Director General of the state corporation Dmitry Bakanov at a meeting of the heads of space agencies of the BRICS countries.

According to Bakanov, the new station will be a modern and high-tech replacement for the International Space Station (ISS). The first module of the future station is already in a high degree of readiness.

The head of Roscosmos invited partners in the association to cooperate within the framework of the project, including conducting joint scientific experiments. He noted that over the past 10 years, the number of participants in space activities has increased significantly — if in 1958 there were only 18 countries in the UN Committee on Space, now there are already 104.

Opportunities are also open for foreign cosmonauts to visit the station. May space continue to remain outside of politics, above politics — in the direct and figurative senses. Everyone will benefit from this.

Work on the ISS continues despite the difficult international situation. Cross-flights with American colleagues continue, and Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla will soon join the work on the station.
