VTB Bank has updated its self-ban service, offering new fraud protection features. Now, customers can ban payments via QR code through ATMs, as well as set limits on loans and transfers.
To activate the ban on QR code transactions, you can also use the "VTB Online" application in the "Security" → "Fraud Protection" → "Self-Restrictions" section. Once activated, the ban can only be lifted by personally visiting a bank branch, which protects against attempts to bypass it by fraudsters.
In May 2025, VTB plans to add additional self-ban features, including restrictions on withdrawing and depositing funds from deposits, as well as setting limits on transfers and payments.
