Lada Iskra assembly was shown after the official start of production. AvtoVAZ assembled only 11 cars in a week.
From 15 to 30 defects were found in each new Lada Iskra. The most common problems were a poorly installed right mirror triangle, "sinking" of the spoiler and left mirror frame, spontaneous activation of the media system, loose upholstery, and a violation of the joint line between the headlight and the fender.
All shortcomings will be eliminated in the defect correction areas, only after that the cars will be moved to the shipping department. More mass production of Iskra is planned to be launched after May 12, when a large-scale modernization of the assembly line will be completed.
AvtoVAZ also suspended production of Lada Granta. From May 30, it is planned to shut down the Lada Vesta and Lada Niva assembly lines. The company is going on corporate leave until May 12. During this time, the assembly line will be updated.
