The fully import-substituted "Superjet" SJ-100 aircraft will perform about 130 certification flights, including in extremely high and low temperatures. This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov.
Earlier, on April 23, the fully import-substituted SJ-100 with PD-8 engines made its first flight in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The flight lasted about 40 minutes, taking place at altitudes up to 3000 m and speeds up to 500 km/h.
I congratulate the aircraft builders on this significant event: the successful start of flight tests of the fully import-substituted version of the aircraft indicates a transition to the final stage of work on it. This aircraft will have to perform about 130 certification flights, including special tests in extremely low and high temperatures. I wish good luck to everyone involved in this responsible and large-scale work!
Rostec noted that certification tests of the SJ-100 will be completed by the end of 2025 in order to begin deliveries of the aircraft to airlines from 2026.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec admitted the postponement of the first flight of the fully import-substituted SJ-100 with PD-8 engines.
