Kitolov-2M is designed to engage artillery guns and mortars in firing positions; self-propelled artillery guns, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, both moving at speeds up to 10 m/s and stationary, located in the open and in trenches; engineering earth-and-timber structures, dugouts, and field-type shelters.

Warhead type is high-explosive fragmentation. Method of engaging the target is from above, along a glide-dive trajectory.

Kalashnikov plans to produce 60% more high-precision missile and artillery weapons in 2025 than in 2024, and 170% more than in 2023. This became possible precisely due to the commissioning of new sections.
