The spring season has triggered a sharp increase in interest in summer car tires and their installation services. According to analysts, in March 2025, tire sales increased by 3.8 times compared to February, and demand for tire fitting increased by 77%. So far, there are no large queues for the service in service centers.
Winter tires lose elasticity at temperatures above +7°C, which worsens grip and increases wear. Summer tires, on the contrary, are made of heat-resistant compounds that maintain stability on hot asphalt. The average cost of a set of summer tires ranges from 20 to 30 thousand rubles, demonstrating an annual increase of 10%. In the premium segment, prices for models with a diameter of 21 inches reach 65 thousand rubles.
The dominance of Chinese brands (70% of the market) is gradually decreasing due to localization. Russian enterprises, such as "Cordiant" and Viatti, are increasing capacity: the Gislaved plant in Kaluga plans to produce 3 million tires per year. Technological partnerships with world leaders, including Continental, allow Chinese manufacturers to compete in terms of grip and fuel efficiency.
The cost of tire fitting varies from 2.5 thousand rubles in the regions to 10 thousand in Moscow. On-site services have become 43% more popular, which is associated with an increase in supply. Among the new tires, universal models are leading: Gislaved PremiumControl and Cordiant Gravity.
