According to Sber experts, mechanical engineering will play a key role in the technological development of Russia. This forecast was presented at an industry session held as part of the RELAVEXPO-2025 exhibition in Cheboksary. Experts identified several priority areas, including aviation, shipbuilding, radio electronics, and unmanned systems, which should ensure sustainable economic growth in the coming years.
Particular attention is paid to the localization of critical technologies. According to Sber's estimates, investments in the industry will amount to hundreds of billions of rubles in 2025–2027. These funds will be directed to the development of production facilities, research and development, and the implementation of large industrial projects.
Another important aspect is the growing demand for electricity. Analysts predict an increase in consumption to 1312 billion kWh by 2030 (+12% compared to 2022), which is associated with the active development of digital infrastructure, including data centers and automated production.
We see not just growth, but a steady movement towards our own technological base. This is no longer a trend, but a strategy.
