The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has reported the emergence of a new scheme for stealing funds from citizens' accounts. Scammers pose as aspiring photographers and offer models favorable conditions for photoshoots.
Fraudsters contact girls through social networks and offer to pay only for the studio rental. To do this, they send links to fake websites where victims can choose the date and time of the shoot. These fraudulent resources also offer the services of stylists.
After selecting a time, the victim is redirected to another site that looks like a payment service. To complete the payment, you need to enter your bank card details. After confirming the transaction with a one-time code from SMS, attackers gain access to all card details and can withdraw money.
In connection with the increase in such cases, the Ministry of Internal Affairs strongly recommends not agreeing to suspiciously advantageous offers and not transferring personal data to strangers. Be vigilant and protect your finances from scammers.
