Antenna Systems for New Manned Spacecraft Developed in Russia

The first prototype will be handed over to the customer after acceptance tests

The Russian enterprise "RESHETNEV" has developed systems to provide communication for the new manned transport spacecraft and an optimized mechanics unit for telecommunications satellite antennas.

The new antenna systems are designed to provide communication between the new manned transport spacecraft and the flight control center in different frequency ranges.

The system includes: temperature and rotation angle sensors, an antenna with an 800 mm reflector, mechanics and electronics units, and mounting devices.

Specialists have manufactured the first prototype, which, after acceptance tests, will be handed over to the customer — Rocket and Space Corporation "Energia."

The second new development of the Russian enterprise is an optimized mechanics unit for use in advanced spacecraft. The dimensions and weight of the unit have been reduced by 25%, while maintaining the necessary parameters of angular displacement of the device, which will ensure accurate orientation to the Earth of satellite antennas from high orbits.
