Slotex opened a new production facility on April 14 at the site of the former Ford automobile plant in Vsevolozhsk (Leningrad region). Instead of cars, they began to produce decorative laminated plastic (HPL) for furniture and finishing materials.
The production covers the full cycle: from printing decorative layers to producing finished components. The annual volume will be over 2 million square meters of material. HPL plastic, created from layers of paper impregnated with thermosetting resins, is used in furniture, construction, medicine and transport - from countertops to the interior of carriages. Investments in the project exceeded 3 billion rubles, including a preferential loan from VTB in the amount of 900 million rubles.
The plant has created 180 new jobs with competitive salaries. In 2025, Slotex plans to expand its capacity at the site of the former IKEA plant in the Novgorod region, where they will begin to produce furniture boards with a design comparable to Italian counterparts.
According to SPARK, the revenue of Slotex JSC in 2024 reached 1.8 billion rubles (net profit - 67.7 million), and Slotex LLC - 4.16 billion rubles (profit - 213 million). Lasha Kashava is the CEO of both enterprises, and Svetlana Osipova is the key beneficiary.
