Yandex has updated its mapping service with personal recommendations. This was reported in the company's press service.
Now new recommendations are available on the main screen of the application in the form of photo tags on the map and in the format of a feed under the search bar. All places are divided according to urban scenarios, such as "Eat", "Drink", "Have fun" and "Walk". Brief explanations from YandexGPT have been added to the photo tags in the feed and on the map. For example, "an entertainment center with a bar right in the pool" or "a mini-park in Japanese style."
The recommendations are based on a neural network that analyzes organizations in the city, determines user preferences and suggests suitable places. The recommendations also take into account the context: the day of the week, the time of day, whether the person is in their city or on a trip.
Users can share their favorite places, save them to bookmarks, and if a place is not of interest, they can hide it by clicking "Don't show". Access to new recommendations is only available to users who are logged into their Yandex account.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that joint work of the neural network and humans will be presented by Yandex and the Tretyakov Gallery.
