Police officers in the Saratov region have uncovered a scheme by which fraudsters were deceiving both the seller and the buyer of a car. The main trick of the scammers is an ad with a reduced price for the car.
The combination is designed for both parties to the agreement - both the buyer and the seller. The fraudsters use information about the sale of a real car - photos, VIN number, description and other details, but the price, as a rule, is greatly reduced.
After a potential buyer responds to an advertisement for the sale of a car at a reduced price, the fraudster informs him that his assistant will show the car. You don’t need to discuss the price with him, but only check the technical condition of the car.
In fact, the fraudster arranges to show the car with the real seller, and after inspecting the car, informs the buyer of his phone number, to which he transfers the money. As a result, the real owner of the car does not receive payment and refuses to give the car away.
Earlier, fraudsters began selling fake driver's licenses on Telegram. Fraudsters create mass mailings of advertisements in chats where there are many migrants.
