Last year, the number of offers to sell fake driver's licenses increased sharply in the Telegram messenger. Currently, there are more than 1,000 ads on this platform for the sale of licenses of any category.
In 2024, Roskomnadzor, guided by court decisions and the requirements of the Prosecutor General's Office, almost doubled the number of blocked Telegram channels offering to purchase fake documents, including licenses. As a result, access was restricted to 268 such resources.
After Roskomnadzor blocked a large number of sites with fraudulent offers, attackers began to actively use Telegram. In mid-February, there were more than a thousand ads in the messenger offering to issue driver's licenses. These ads were mainly aimed at illegal migrants.
Scammers offer to issue licenses of any category for 30–60 thousand rubles with the entry of driver data into the traffic police databases. After receiving payment, they disappear.
