Model K-4386 features a load-bearing armored hull of increased strength

Footage of the latest Russian armored vehicle K-4386 (Typhoon-VDV) has appeared online. The vehicle is designed for transporting cargo, personnel, and installing various systems and weapons.

"Typhoon-VDV" is the only MRAP-class armored vehicle in the world capable of being parachuted. The main design difference between the K-4386 and the K-53949 is the load-bearing armored hull, which has increased strength and rigidity.

The combined protection of the armored hull provides the crew with protection against the damaging factors of explosive devices, small arms, and shell fragments. The vehicle is equipped with energy-absorbing landing and crew seats.

The vehicle is also equipped with a modernized BM-30-D combat module. The main armament is a 30-mm 2A42 automatic cannon with a ammunition load of 300 rounds. The cannon is paired with a PKTM machine gun with an ammunition load of at least 1000 rounds.
