The Northern Fleet frigate "Admiral Golovko," as part of its long-range deployment, made a business call at the port of Alexandria, Arab Republic of Egypt. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense press service.
The ship will stay in the port of Alexandria for several days, during which the crew will replenish supplies of food and fresh water.
The personnel will have the opportunity to rest from the long ocean passage while berthed at the pier.
The frigate "Admiral Golovko" set off on a long voyage in November 2024, during which time the ship traveled about 27,000 nautical miles. The main task of the voyage is to demonstrate the flag and ensure a naval presence in operationally important areas of the World Ocean.

The "Admiral Golovko" was built according to the project of the Northern Design Bureau (part of USC) at the "Severnaya Verf" shipyard in St. Petersburg. The frigate is equipped with hypersonic anti-ship "Zircon" missiles. In December 2023, it was commissioned and put into service with the Russian Navy.
