KMZ to start producing throttle valves and trailer brake control valve

The military-industrial holding "Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant" (KMZ) will import-substitute throttle valves and a trailer brake control valve for KamAZ. This was announced by the company's Managing Director, Mikhail Danilenko.

According to him, prototypes of throttle valves have already been manufactured, and the products are undergoing accelerated bench tests to confirm a failure-free operating time of at least 500 hours.

After that, tests will be carried out as part of the electronic control system of KamAZ diesel engines to confirm a failure-free operating time of at least 500 hours.

The parts will be import-substituted as part of a federal project to support projects involving the development of design documentation for component products necessary for the automotive industry. The total investment in the projects exceeds 115 million rubles.

Throttle valves will ensure the correct operation of engines with forced ignition, operating on the new modern K5euro6 diesel engine, using natural gas as fuel, by regulating the flow of incoming air.

The trailer brake control valve should control the pressures that are transmitted to the brake heads of the towed vehicle.
