AvtoVAZ has started production of a new version of the Lada Granta Sport with a 118-horsepower engine. The cars will roll off the assembly line in a simplified version — without painted bumpers, a spoiler on the trunk lid and a number of other options.
The new version of the Granta family of cars lacks heated seats, an airbag (either both or one - it is not yet clear) and a multimedia system. The steering wheel has lost its leather braid, the lighting in the trunk and glove compartment has disappeared.
The power unit was left the same — under the hood of the simplified novelty will be a 118-horsepower engine with a volume of 1.6 liters and a five-speed manual gearbox.
Lada Granta Sport differs from the usual Granta with a 20 mm lowered suspension, disc brakes (instead of drum brakes), soft tires, an aerodynamic body kit with red accents and interior trim with contrasting elements and seats with pronounced lateral support.
The start of sales and prices for Lada Granta Sport have not yet been announced, this will happen in the near future.
Earlier www1.ru reported that AvtoVAZ launched mass production of Lada Granta Sport, which received a new red color "Flamenco".
