The Indian Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has released the first image of a Su-30 MKI fighter jet equipped with four RudraM-III air-to-surface missiles, two on each wing pylon.
Equipped with advanced guidance systems, the RudraM-III missile will have high maneuverability due to its 18 stabilizers. The munition will be able to accelerate to Mach 5, making it elusive to air defense systems.
The missiles will also perform a dual function, acting as both anti-radiation and strike weapons. The aircraft in a heavily armed configuration will be able to effectively destroy defenses, even those covered by layered air defense.
The Su-30MKI multirole fighter is produced in India under a Russian license by the state corporation Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. It forms the basis of the Indian front-line aviation.
Su-30MKI Characteristics:
Maximum speed at high altitude - 2125 km/h, maximum flight altitude - 17.3 thousand m, thrust-to-weight ratio - 1.0.
