A new workshop has opened in the Moscow region, where rubber crumb for children's and sports grounds will be produced. "Dmitrovsky Plant of Rubber Products," specializing in the disposal of car tires, has completed the construction of a production site and received all the necessary permits. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region.
Total investments in the project amounted to over 220 million rubles in the first phase of the large-scale expansion of the plant. In total, it is planned to invest about 500 million rubles. The company employs more than 250 people, and after the completion of the expansion, the staff will increase by 50 employees.
The new workshop with an area of 1.4 thousand square meters is located next to the existing production and warehouse complex. Currently, equipment is being installed for waste processing, which will increase the volume of tire and office equipment recycling, as well as expand the range of products.
Rubber crumb and powder obtained from old tires are used in the construction of children's and sports grounds, as well as used in asphalt concrete mixtures and for the production of waterproofing materials.
Ksenia Ershova, Deputy General Director of "Dmitrovsky Plant of Rubber Products," said that old tires come from all over Russia. According to her, mechanical processing is the most environmentally friendly method of disposal, which is important for protecting the environment.
