Belarusian servicemen organized a ferry crossing for equipment

Servicemen of the 557th Engineering Brigade of the Armed Forces of Belarus underwent control exercises in tactical and special training. They transported equipment across the river using Soviet PTS-2 amphibious transporters. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.

The personnel equipped three ferry crossings, and a landing crossing was carried out by a platoon of amphibious transporters using PTS-2.

PTS-2 is an amphibious transporter, produced by the "VZOR" plant (now the Lugansk Diesel Locomotive Plant). It is in service with the Russian Armed Forces. It is designed for transporting troops, providing landing crossings across water obstacles for artillery systems, wheeled and tracked tractors, armored personnel carriers, and vehicles.

PTS-2 characteristics: hull length - 11,990 mm, width - 3300 mm, height - 3170 mm, track - 2760 mm, ground clearance - at least 400 mm.
