Some projects of Rostec's subordinate companies are 2-3 times ahead of foreign countries' developments. This was stated by the head of the state corporation, Sergey Chemezov.
According to him, there is no market in Russia for some types of products that would ensure the profitability of their production. Chemezov emphasized that the main thing is to switch to "our own" in critical sectors, including defense, space, aviation, energy, electronics, and machine tools.
Some believe that creating something new is easy, you just have to want to. However, in the field of high technology, there are no miracles. Nothing is done with the snap of a finger. The path that foreign companies have taken for decades, investing hundreds of billions each year, cannot be jumped over in three years. For many projects, we are 2-3 times faster than our foreign colleagues.
