The return of the French automaker Renault to Russia will jeopardize jobs at AvtoVAZ. This is stated in a statement by the conciliation commission of the Russian company, published in the trade union newspaper, which was at the disposal of 360.ru.
The authors titled their appeal to the Russian government and Russian President Vladimir Putin "Sanctions have benefited".
The AvtoVAZ conciliation commission asks the government and personally the head of state not to let Renault back into Russia, so as not to jeopardize the loss of jobs for those who did not leave AvtoVAZ in difficult times for it.
Renault left Russia in May 2022. Before leaving, it concluded a deal to sell a 68% stake in AvtoVAZ with the right to buy it back within six years.
The head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, noted that negotiations on Renault's return to the shareholders of AvtoVAZ are not being conducted, but such a possibility is not excluded.
