Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant will begin equipping new and old Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant car models with modernized ZMZ 409 engines. The engines will be installed on the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant Patriot, Pickup, Profi, and Bukhanka.
Deliveries of new engine parts to the assembly line will begin in the second quarter of this year. Testing of the new components is currently being completed.
The valve cover of the 2.7-liter gasoline engine now has more mounting points to the cylinder head, including additional points between the spark plug well holes. This improvement will improve the reliability of the connection and the durability of the engine.
Thus, the likelihood of oil leaks in the joints of parts will be reduced to zero. In addition, the valve guide bushings pressed on new high-precision equipment will ensure maximum tightness of the combustion chamber and efficient operation of the gas distribution mechanism.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the production of six-speed gearboxes for Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant cars was established in Russia.
