Nizhny Novgorod aircraft-building plant "Sokol" has mastered the production of products for civil aircraft MC-21, Il-114-300, Be-200 and Tu-214. This was reported by the press service of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).
The company produces steel and aluminum cast products, both for its own needs and for supplies to other aircraft-building enterprises. "Sokol" will be tasked with increasing the volume of casting for aircraft factories, where civil aviation equipment will be assembled.
The UAC noted that classical casting technologies are currently gradually being supplemented by new additive technologies. The corporation plans to purchase 3D printers for printing casting molds with sand and plastic.
Drawings of parts are supplemented with 3D models, which allow you to quickly create the necessary equipment.
The use of digital measuring machines allows you to obtain a complete comparison of the geometric parameters of the resulting casting of its 3D model, thereby ensuring control of the entire surface of the product.
