From May 1, 2025, the activities of bloggers and influencers will be officially recorded in the Russian National Classifier of Types of Economic Activity (OKVED).
Two new codes have been added to the classifier: 73.11.1 — "Advertising distribution activities by social network users" and 70.21.1 — "Information dissemination activities by social network users."
The purpose of the changes is to officially define the status of bloggers and agencies as market participants, as well as to ensure their legal protection, including the protection of copyright, access to government business support programs, and the ability to account for industry turnover. This will also make it easier to attract investment and develop strategies for the development of the influencer marketing industry.
