MTS has decided to shut down Nuum video hosting. The domestic analogue of YouTube and TikTok lasted less than two years.
The platform will continue to operate until June 1 of this year. This time is given to users to upload content.
Nuum was launched in December 2023. The official reason for the closure of the service remains unknown. However, during the operation of the platform, various restrictions were recorded (disabling donations and monetization).
Nuum's technological infrastructure will be transferred to the MTS AdTech division. In the future, it is planned to use it to create an advertising network of video banners. The Nuum engine will be used to promote products on marketplaces in the formats of "stories" and "reels."
