The "Progress" has undergone a cycle of autonomous testing of onboard systems and electrical testing of service equipment and apparatus. After that, specialists carried out a control procedure and loaded the space freighter into a railway transport unit.

The launch of the Progress MS-31 cargo ship is scheduled from the Baikonur Cosmodrome using the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle. The ship will carry about 2.5–2.6 tons of payload (fuel for refueling the ISS, drinking water, compressed gases to maintain the atmosphere, equipment and materials for scientific experiments). The space freighter will also carry food, clothing, and medical supplies for the crew.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Roscosmos assembled the Soyuz-2.1a rocket for launching the Progress MS-30 spacecraft to the ISS.
