«Автозавод Санкт-Петербург» завершил сборку Xcite: что будет дальше — неизвестно

Production has stopped, more than 10,000 new cars have accumulated in the parking lots

The former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg ("Avtozavod St. Petersburg"), which produces cars under the Xcite brand, has completed the assembly of X-Cross 7 and X-Cross 8 models ahead of schedule. Chery has stopped sending car kits to the plant. This is reported by insiders.

At the moment, between 7,000 and 10,000 finished cars have accumulated in the company's parking lots. This estimate is based on the occupancy of all parking lots, which can accommodate 10,000 cars.

According to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), only 836 cars were sold under the Xcite brand in early 2025. The manufacturer planned to assemble 6,500 crossovers in 2025, but with the cessation of supplies from Chery, these plans will have to be revised.

The situation raises questions about the future of the plant and what will happen to the remaining cars. It is not yet known which cars will be assembled in the future at the industrial site.
