"Yandex Weather" has launched a new "Pollen Activity" service to help people with allergies track the spread of allergens.
Users will be able to receive warnings about the start of the flowering season in the form of push notifications, as well as study the pollen activity forecast for the next 10 days.
A special map will display information about the concentration of pollen in Russia and the CIS countries. Data will be available for six main allergens: birch, alder, ambrosia, wormwood, grasses and weeds.
Calculations of pollen activity are based on the forecast of plant flowering, which is adjusted taking into account fresh weather data.
The service provides for the possibility of feedback: users will be able to share information about their well-being, which will make forecasts more accurate.
